JOHN AUBREY DAVIS

MANAGING PARTNER
Mr. John Aubry Davis is the managing partner of J. A. DAVIS & ASSOCIATES, LLP, a position he has held since 2003. Prior to becoming the managing partner, Mr. Davis was a founding partner of the San Antonio based Law Firm of MATTHEWS & DAVIS, LLP. Mr. Davis is a veteran and served in the US Army’s Intelligence and Security Command from 1983-1987 after attending the US Army Intelligence School where he was the Honor Graduate of his class and received an Army Commendation award for superior academic achievement. During his military service Mr. Davis was selected to and competed for the United States All Army Athletic Team 1984-1987.
After earning his BS degree from the University of Arizona, Mr. Davis earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University in Texas. In 2009, Mr. Davis was elected to the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and continues to serve as an elected member of the Board today. In 2012 and every year after, Mr. Davis was selected by invitation only to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. Mr. Davis in 2019 + 2020 was selected as a “SUPERLAWYER” BY Thomson-Reuters, a distinction given to fewer than 5% of Texas Lawyers. Mr. Davis has also been designated by his peers in the field Of Personal Injury Law Plaintiff and Workers’ Compensation Law Plaintiff by SA Scene Magazine for the years, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Mr. Davis is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and serves as an Executive Counsel Member of the State Bar of Texas Workers Compensation Section. Mr. Davis also serves as the Chairman of The State Bar of Texas, District 10, Panel #5, Grievance Panel. Mr. Davis is the past President of the Texas Workers' Advocates; a coalition of advocates who zealously advocate on behalf of injured Texas seeking fairness, accessibility, and accountability regarding the benefits they are owed under the state's workers' compensation system. Mr. Davis has testified before Texas house and Senate Committees and zealously represents injured parties in court and before administrative agencies.
